FIRE COLLAGE — A GUIDE TO 'BETTER DESIGN'
This project follows a series of posters with one explicit message “Make good design choices” achieved by photographic montages. This came about with the intention of lightening the atmosphere either in the classroom or in the corridors of the college I attended through digital manipulations of celebrities or through the use of images that inspired me in projects, always with the same motto and flame, the compelling decision to make a good design choice in a project.
All this emerged when I found an issue of Emigre magazine #26 in the university’s library unattended and noticed that the cover had an illustration that could bring something new and somehow funny if applied to a poster. From there “was born” this movement that was later called FUEGO - I have a group of thinking, sort of a collective, where we discuss various themes but mostly design trends and influences, we like to call ourselves by F L E X -, and is still today something to talk about in the corridors of college.
